After watching the trailer for this I was quite excited to see this movie. At first it just seemed like a movie about two people who were 'Friends with Benefits' but then their feelings develop into something real. It is quite unpredictable and predictable at the same time because you know what the ending is but you're not sure how they're going to get there. This movie is different because it's not the guy with the commitment issues, it's the girl. It shows that women don't need men to feel good about themselves as Emma (Portman) is an independant woman who thinks that she doesn't need a relationship with a guy. At first both Emma (Portman) and Adam (Kutcher) use each other for sex but then they both realise that they have stronger feelings for each other and are falling for each other. However, head-strong Emma refuses to admit this, thereby breaking Adam's heart. After a period of separation Emma finally realises that she needs Adam because she is in love with him and she finally admits her true feelings. They get together (officially) and all is well.

This is one of the best rom-coms I've ever seen because it's different. The plot-line is unusual but it still gives you that warm fuzzy lovey-dovey feeling. I highly recommend it because both actors are great, it is incredibly funny and this film is unique. If you're bored of rom-coms because you think they're all predictable and are the same then watch 'No Strings Attached' because it changes the stereotype of the romantic comedy. It shows that sometimes women are the stronger ones in the relationship and struggle with their feelings. It is fresh and new, watch it!

Now if I'm perfectly honest, rock bands from the 70s aren't really my thing, so I wasn't too keen on watching this movie. I was intrigued by the fact that I had read several articles and interviews regarding the complications of filming some 'inapproprirate' scenes. However, much to my suprise I gained much knowledge of the music industry, the effects of teenage drug use and, of course, the formation of the iconic, first all-girl rock band, The Runaways. Apart from the fact that she never smiles, I really like Kristen Stewart. She has acted in such a huge variety of movies and she has played the part brilliantly in each. In The Runaways, Stewart plays Joan Jett, the founder of the band, or at least the concept of an all-girl rock band. It is quite inspiring how she managed to make this dream come true in a time when rock music was entirely male-dominated. Dakota Fanning does a great job of portrayed Cherie Currie and we see the transformation of a seemingly innocent girl at the beginning to a drug-addicted, teenage, rockstar who wears clothes that are far too revealing. I'd definitely recommend this to teenagers, anybody interested in the music industry and fans of rock.

Skins USA

Now I've only watched one episode of this so far, but despite the fact that the last time I watched Skins UK Series One was a long time ago, I could still recognise the script. Word. For. Word. The only thing about this series that is better than the UK version is that the actress who plays Michelle (Rachel Thevenard) is slightly prettier than April Pearson. The US series clearly isn't as appealing to the teenagers in the USA as it is to those over here in the UK as MTV have received several complains with some people even comparing it to 'child pornography'.
