Apple to unveil new iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S later this month.

Apple is a company well known for keeping the details of its products secret until they are released to the general public; however, it is thought the company is about to reveal two new iPhones – the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S. According to pages accidentally released early, the 4S will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models and the price of an unlocked 4S is said to be around RRP £612. Secrecy surrounding Apple’s latest products is so strong that UK mobile networks have admitted that they don’t even know what will be unveiled. Despite this, expectations are still very high and the iPhone 5 is thought to be the most highly anticipated phone to be launched this year. In fact, carriers are expecting so many orders that many have decided not to offer web pre-ordering ahead because they fear that their systems could be overwhelmed.

Currently, the iPhone 4 is the best-selling smartphone in the world with Apple being the world’s largest maker of smartphones, and this has caused obsessive interest from the media regarding the release of the iPhone 5.  Popular mobile network, O2, stands to benefit the most from the release as it has 45% of all UK iPhone owners and 38% of all O2’s customers have owned their device for 18 months or more making them eligible for an upgrade. Apple appears to inspire its customers with the most loyalty with 70% of iPhone owners who change their device choosing another iPhone and 86% of all iPhone users saying they were ‘highly satisfied’ with their phones. We shall have to wait and see as to what the features of these new phones are, but if Apple manages to raise the bar that it has already set, we have much to look forward to.
