Zumba Fitness for Nintendo Wii/Playstation Move/Xbox 360 Kinect.
Whether or not you enjoy fitness/dance games, such as Zumba, greatly depends on the type of person you are. There are two ways to look at each and every video game: the fun side, and the technology side. Now of course, with all games such as these, there are numerous flaws with the technology as it is very difficult for the game console to monitor your activity without you donning a (very unflattering) full body suit, or paying an astronomical price. (It has to be said that the reviews for Zumba for Wii are a lot better than they are for PS3/Xbox.) As a result, the game designers compromise on the technology to make you feel most comfortable and have the most fun. If you want to ruin the fun you could quite easily shake the motion detector for your console and you'd probably get better results, faster. But what would be the fun in that? Obviously these games are limited in the amount of feedback they can give you; however, the majority of people can look past that because they are fun, fun, fun!
Ever since the launch of the wii fit, we have seen a large increase in the number of interactive fitness games across the market and if you're looking to buy one of these games, I'd recommend Zumba. This game allows you to completely forget the fact that you're doing any form of exercise, something that a large percentage of people don't enjoy doing. This is a fun game that you can play by yourself, or with friends and family (up to four players) and you can all workout together! You attach the belt around your hips/waist (depending on which console you own) and then dance away! This particular game is very heavily dance orientated, it's kindof like an interactive version of 'salcasise' but less cringe-worthy. This game can be enjoyed by people of all ages as you follow over 30 routines on screen and dance and laugh your way to fitness! It doesn't matter if you don't know how to dance, the three different skill levels (beginning, intermediate and advanced) allow you to improve and adapt as you get better. You'll never get bored with this game as there are nine different styles to learn: Reggaeton, Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia, Hip-Hop, Mambo, Rumba, Flamenco and Calypso
Games like this make for great birthday presents, and with summer on the way, this is the perfect way to get your body into shape!
For the longest time I thought Zumba was a drink. Great blog and I am slightly infatuated with your avatar. Following from a distance.
